Mykonos Grand

I am lucky to visit many incredible hotels and always come away feeling like I have the best job in the world but never more so than today.
The entire team at the Mykonos Grand sweep you up in their warmth and charm and you cannot help but smile constantly while watching all the genuine interactions you see happening between the team and guests.
It is like watching someone who is so good and confident at what they do that they have time to talk to guests, to offer to collect some fruit for hungry little ones while they settle at the breakfast table and always take the time to connect with people. You lead from above and Mr Panayiotis, embodies this understated brilliance.
The reason they do so well is that they keep their staff. Most hotels don’t manage to and it shows at the beginning of every season but not at the Mykonos Grand. One incredible lady had been there 20 years and it shows. She felt like a friend after three days.
There are hotels with more bling on the island perhaps but if you are looking for the best in terms of service this is it, hands down one of the most amazing experiences I have had anywhere. The hotel is classy, the food is delicious, the team are efficient yet personable and I am a fan! (Can you tell?)
I had two lovely spa treatments and got to use the thalassotherapy pool afterwards. The setting is beautiful and yet again, the best massages I’ve had in years. Thank you Fay!
The hotels’ position is clever. You have the town 10 minutes away but it is nice and quiet. The beach is private to the hotel and fully serviced. They also added an adult only pool last year but the main pool was ultra civilised too.
Mykonos has a reputation for being extremely expensive and there are examples of this everywhere you look. One table at Scorpios Beach Club has a minimum spend of €30,000 which by anyone’s standards is a bit of a leap. That said you can also go to Scorpios and take a four bed cabana for the day and it was €200. The service was snappy and for a day splurge to people watch and feel a bit young and cool again it would be worth it.
The quality of restaurants and bars in town is the best in Europe which is a bold statement but I think true. One gentleman said to me “Mykonos has no age” and I agree. It is exciting and brilliant and fun. In a world with so much going on, a respite was most welcome.
Thank you to the entire team for your brilliance and to the lovely Scott and Lyndsey at Seamless marketing for making this trip happen. I shall be sending you my clients and will be jealous of everyone who gets to spend time with you all.
